John Watson

John Watson was born in Campbeltown, Argyll and was brought up in Scotland, Australia, England, Wales and South Africa. He is a graduate of Edinburgh College of Art and the Open University. He has been involved in art education for over twenty five years as a teacher and lecturer, and is currently a Director of the Interactive Design Institute.
John’s background is in fine art printmaking. He is an experienced printmaker, specialising in relief printmaking; principally linocut, woodcut and wood engraving. His work has been shown in open exhibitions and juried shows throughout the UK and in Australia, USA, Spain, Italy, Poland, Switzerland, Japan, Germany and Finland.
John currently lives and works in Midlothian. He is a member of the Fine Press Book Association.
